What is RIRS?
RIRS is a procedure in which a flexible ureteroscope, a tiny tube-like instrument with a camera at one end, is used to access the kidney through the urethra and bladder without making any external incisions. The ureteroscope is passed through the urinary tract up to the kidney, where it allows the surgeon to visualize and directly treat the affected area.
